Document Management and Revision control of multi-format documents with a rich set of library services, including functions for check-in/check-out, revision and access control. Document management primarily manages documents in their most active stage of processing, when they are first created, reviewed, edited and approved for distribution to archiving.

Engineering Workflow manages and controls the document through the design life cycle. Workflow Management adheres to predefined processes, and implement design cycle features for document editing, checking, and approval.

Secure document storage prevents accidental loss of data. If design documents are your business then without secure document storage to prevent accidental overwrites, deletion or misplaced files, your business may be at risk. Dataworx’s central document “vault” solves this by organising related documents and controlling who has access to them. Documents arc easily located, viewed, checked out, updated and checked in, only by people with the appropriate access rights.

Secure user authentication and multi-level document access controls who can edit, view or print a document. Support for user and group profiles provide effective control.

Dataworx software lets you view files in more than 200 different formats without checking out the document and without needing direct access to the software application that created it. Viewable file types include word processing, spreadsheet, database, hit map, raster and vector, as well as archive (ZIP), DWG, DXF”, and H PGL. The Pre-viewer places a “live” preview of any type of document on the Dataworx Profile Card. The CAD Viewer includes layer and block filters, measuring utilities and display-list capabilities.
